Right of Prisoners' in India during Covid-19: An Analytical Study

Every society follows certain norms which it follows from many times. Due to
violation of such norms person are rendered not able to live in the society and
some time they become danger for society and persons of society are not ready
to accept them for such nature. So it becomes compulsion for the state to detain
such person to any other place called prison. In most of the developing
countries of the world, prisons are frequently facing problems of overcrowding,
cramped conditions, Malnutrition, poor hygiene, inadequate
sanitation and limited access to health care. In addition to human rights and
humanitarian concerns, situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic, heighten
the risk of riots and breakouts, and endangering public health and security.
Therefore, in this paper an attempt has been made to discuss all the issues
relating to current laws and the defies faced by prison authorities during the
period of COVID-19.
