Social Freedom in relation to Self Concept of Women

The present study was designed to study the relationship between Social
Freedom and Self Concept of women. The sample consisted of 200 rural and
urban female under graduate students of district Moga of Punjab. Women Social
Freedom Scale (WSFS) by L.I. Bhushan and Self Esteem Inventory by M.S
Prasad and G.P. Thakur were used to measure social freedom and self concept
of both rural and urban female under graduate students. The results revealed
that there is significant relationship between Social Freedom and Self Concept
of both rural and urban under graduate female students. Also there is no
significant difference between the Social Freedom and Self Concept of rural
and urban under graduate female students. The study has its implications for
parents , teachers, counselors and social workers
