The Guide of R. K. Narayan. The novel presents the acrimonious involvement of the married but ill-matched couple in which both have their different aims and interests. To fulfill these interests and
desires, they adopt inauthentic ways and even forget the norms and responsibilities of a true
husband-wife relationship. Rosie gets involved in extramarital relationship with Raju and this
breaks their husband-wife relationship
