The paper is a brief analytical study of the consumptions of Indian mythological images on social
network sites. It examines their use and functions both in ordinary social and the ritual contexts.
How they are treated on such virtual domains, how the users react to them, how their meanings are
transformed when in juxtaposition with other mundane images, etc. are some of the problems that
this analytical essay deals with.
