Information Regarding the Rehabilitation Process among Female Power Lifters

Abstract

This study provides information regarding the Rehabilitation process and proper follow up of
rehabilitation after the injury among female Power lifters. The data was collected through self-made questionnaire at All India Inter University 2016. The questionnaire distributed to 50 female
Power lifters to evaluate the information regarding the Rehabilitation, proper follow up of
rehabilitation process after the injury and psychological effect on the lifters. In Power lifting, 55%
female lifters suffered from shoulder injury, 80% from back injury and 40% from knee injury. In
this, 70% injuries occurred during training and 30 % for any other reasons. 75% female lifters
follow the proper rehabilitation programme recommended by physiotherapist and consultants.
60% lifters satisfied from the rehabilitation programme and 40% were not satisfies. 52% lifters re-occurred from some kind of injury. Most injuries re-occurred because of improper warm up, not
following up the rehabilitation process, improper training schedule, not taking proper medical
assistance. Most injuries re-occurred because of improper follow up of the rehabilitation
programme.
